HOW DOES ATP Enhancement WORK?
ATP Enhancement is designed to maintain high levels of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) during periods of vigorous physical activity or muscular exertion. ATP is the main source of energy used in short-term energy requirements (anaerobic activities). We accomplish this by using multiple pathways for ATP and Creatine Synthesis. During the breakdown of ATP, enzymes leave ammonia, which is scavenged by the addition of an abundant portion of glutamine (the most abundant amino acid in the blood) and either excreted by the kidneys as ammonium or converted to urea in the liver. Glutamine also acts as a nitrogen shuttle to aid in protein synthesis. Once glycogen storage is depleted and ATP production stops, Carnitine transports long chain fatty acids into the furnace of the cell (mitochondria) for long-term energy requirements.
